An 18 year old student has died following an attack in which he was stabbed in the heart in St.
John’s Wood, north west London.
The family of the murdered victim, Jevon Henry, have appealed for information relating to his
murder. Jevon was attacked at approximately 8pm on Wednesday by a gang of men described as being of
Asian or Arab appearance. He was found seriously injured by police in Paveley Street, St. John’s
Wood and taken to hospital where he died at 10.45am the following morning. The result of a post
mortem examination revealed that the cause of his death was a single stab wound to the heart.
In a statement from his family, Jevon is described as “a committed student who wanted to
eventually have his own business and who had a passion for bikes and motorbikes… He had two
part-time jobs alongside his studies and was a diligent and hard working person". Jevon left St
Lucia at the age of 13 to come to Britain and was studying to go into the panel-beating and
body-spraying trade.
"No justification"
The statement went on to say that the family hoped that those responsible for his murder would be
brought to justice and added; "[t]his was such a senseless attack and there can be no
justification for taking the life of somebody who had so much to live for and who was so loved by
all that knew him."
The Police are currently keeping an open mind about the motive for the murder. Det Ch Insp Tony
Nash, who is leading the investigation, said: "This was a violent murder of a young man who had
dreams and aspirations that will never be realised." The police have opened an incident room
and are appealing for anyone with information relating to Jevon’s murder to contact them on 020

jevon u look so much like my partners little brother and the same age, so young with so much ahead of you, my thoughts are with your family and friends and all who knew you, i lost one of my friends in a similar way 2 years ago and half the people held responsible are walking the streets already, thats no justification, the is no amount of justice that can be had for someone who takes anothers life, the pain they leave behind, the only justice there would be is if you could press a majic button and turn back the clock, unfortunatly thats not possible, look after ur loved ones jevon and help keep them safe and strong x

I'm so sorry for your loss of a lovely looking young man, taken so cruelly, so tragically young.
He had his whole life ahead of him..No Graduation, No Marriage, No Children or GrandChildren....
I swear these people who are so mindless, they need to think about the consequences when they push knives inside people, they leave behind devastated family and friends,
this getting beyond the joke now how many more senseless murders...? These people are not big men as they think, they are cowards who are afraid to talk it out or fight with bare hands if they really need to resort to violence.....
